Working at Legal Aid Society has shown me what it means to combine purpose with professional rigor. LAS may not be a large institution, but the standards here are high. I joined LAS as a Project Manager in August 2025, and what stood out was the balance between fast-paced frontline work and a strong culture of structure and accountability. You’re expected to take ownership, be precise, and keep your work “court-ready” at every stage. Impact is measured through real outcomes, strong processes, case management, documentation, and continuous learning. LAS also invests in institutional growth by building better systems, stronger teams, and clearer standards. For me, LAS means making justice real for people, not just a myth.
