LAS is seeking a high-impact Public Affairs & Communications Officer who can operate at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and influence. This role requires a versatile communications professional who brings together the instincts of a PR strategist, the credibility of a media liaison, the agility of a digital communicator, and the vision of an institutional storyteller. The ideal candidate possesses a nuanced understanding of the justice sector, demonstrates sound judgment in navigating government and stakeholder relationships, and excels at translating complex legal and policy frameworks into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with media, partners, and the public.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, Social Sciences, or Law (Master’s degree will be an advantage)
Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in communications, public relations, journalism, or media relations, preferably in the development, justice, or governance sector
Skills: Strategic communications planning; government liaison; media relations & pitching; content development & storytelling; social media management & analytics; event communications; press release & op-ed writing; brand positioning
Knowledge: Excellent writing and editing skills in English, Urdu, and Sindhi; proven ability to translate complex legal and policy issues into compelling, accessible narratives; strong existing media contacts; proficiency in Canva or similar design tools; basic vide
