The Community Relationship Lead is responsible for building, managing, and growing LAS’s volunteer, ambassador, and community engagement ecosystem locally and globally. The role focuses on volunteer-driven fundraising, community mobilization, and global chapter coordination, while strengthening donor engagement and grassroots support through structured programs, events, and relationship management. The position plays a key role in expanding LAS’s community-based fundraising and outreach efforts.
a. Recruit, onboard, train, and manage local and international volunteers, ambassadors, and community champions
b. Design and implement volunteer-led fundraising campaigns and peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives
c. Develop volunteer engagement, retention, and recognition strategies
d. Provide fundraising toolkits, training, and ongoing support to volunteers
e. Build and maintain a pipeline of active volunteer fundraisers across regions
f. Track volunteer participation, fundraising performance, and engagement metrics
g. Foster a culture of ownership, advocacy, and community-driven fundraising
a. Plan and execute fundraising and community engagement events including donor gatherings, awareness sessions, and volunteer-led campaigns
b. Identify new community fundraising opportunities and partnerships
c. Manage event logistics, volunteer coordination, sponsorship engagement, and post-event follow-ups
d. Support donor acquisition, cultivation, and stewardship through events
a. Support coordination of LAS global chapters and international volunteer networks
b. Organize chapter meetings, volunteer engagements, and committee sessions
c. Prepare agendas, minutes, and track action items for follow-ups
d. Support implementation of chapter workplans and fundraising activities
e. Maintain regular communication with chapter leadership and stakeholders
f. Assist in planning visits, events, and virtual engagement activities
a. Build and maintain relationships with volunteers, donors, ambassadors, and community supporters
b. Identify and cultivate prospective community donors and champions
c. Support donor stewardship through impact updates and engagement touchpoints
d. Serve as a key point of contact for community stakeholders
a. Maintain accurate records of volunteers, donors, events, and engagement activities in CRM
b. Document meeting notes, interactions, and fundraising activities
c. Prepare monthly reports on volunteer engagement and fundraising outcomes
d. Support data analysis for targeted engagement and campaigns
a. Develop presentations, reports, volunteer toolkits, and fundraising materials
b. Coordinate with Communications team on campaign content and volunteer stories
c. Support digital engagement via social media, email, and WhatsApp campaigns
d. Ensure all volunteer and chapter materials are updated and consistent
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business, Communications, or related field
Experience: 3–5 years in community engagement, fundraising, volunteer management, partnerships, or NGO sector roles
Skills: Volunteer management; fundraising campaigns; CRM systems; event management; stakeholder engagement; reporting and documentation
Technical Skills: MS Office; CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot or similar); basic data management and reporting tools
